COVID-19 Emergency Relief Funds

Available until all funds are depleted.

Grants ranging from, but not limited to, $50-$200 are available for individuals with Spinal Cord Injuries who are in need of additional support due to adverse circumstances as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Through our working partnership with Independent Living Centers (ICL) in DC, MD and VA, United Spinal DC will provide resources for this grant.

Grant Requirements

Request for funds must be for the purchase of food, household supplies and other necessities, especially with home-delivery. In addition, request can also be made for medications and medical supplies by qualified providers, along with personal protective supplies needed for personal hygiene, toileting. Payment for purchases for friends or relatives is not permitted. The applicant is required to provide receipts in situations where the receipt does not come directly to United Spinal Metro DC Chapter or ICL’s.
